Atelier de Chronométrie #5

The fifth Atelier de Chronométrie creation is a refined timepiece that mixes the grandness of the Breguet numerals with the power of the blued steel hands. The calibre presents different colors combination and has been made by hand without using any modern technology. Like all the Atelier de Chronométrie wristwatches, this is a tribute to time-honored ways of handcrafting timepieces.

The movement

Colours combination

In common with all the Atelier de Chronométrie timepieces, this calibre has been made entirely by hand without using any modern technology. It presents different colours combination; 18k yellow gold plated on the 4 bridges, blued screws and 18k pink gold plated and rhodium plated accents (ie. wheels, anchor, etc.).The calibre is based on the mythical Omega 30mm (cal. 266) that has been chosen because of its durability and stability.

  • 21 pieces are completely handmade without using CNC milling machines.
  • The rest of the calibre parts are completely modified and decorated by hand using artisanal tools and methods.
  • The finish includes handmade techniques such as “frosting” (real frosted, not sandblasting) as well as hand beveling, black polish, round “anglage” and circular graining.
  • Each movement is reinvented each time for each customer, changing technically and aesthetically.
